Roger is a music educator, freelance musician and business consultant based in Trinidad and Tobago. He grew up and worked in Canada before returning to Trinidad in 1995. In 1999, he conceptualized and founded the first independent Facilities Management (FM) Company in the country, and thereafter became the Chair of the FM Committee and Conference at the TTCIC. Salloum holds a Diploma in International Business and Marketing from St. Mary’s University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Certificates in Facilities Management, Project Management, LEED, and has also completed courses from the Real Institute of Canada (REIC), the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA), the Appraisal Institute of Canada, and the Building Owners Managers Association (BOMA). In addition to his professional business education and experience, Salloum also has an extensive background in music. He studied jazz at St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia, Canada, then attended the University of Knoxville, Tennessee in 1984 where he met and interacted with some legendary musicians. With a combined music and business background, Salloum decided to fulfil his true passion in music and now teaches music both privately and at the University of the Southern Caribbean in Trinidad, where he is the adjunct professor for percussion studies. He is also a freelance performer, studio musician, and offers consulting in business strategy and development for Artists and Musicians.
