Robert Macfarlane

Director

Robert started directing in 2002, directing micro-budget music videos, corporates, and short films and then in 2012, moved to Trinidad and Tobago.

There he worked as DOP, Editor, and DIT on feature films, commercials, and corporate films. His latest short film Immune has won 9 awards including 2x best directors and 2x best short on the festival circuit.

Robert is drawn to stories that explore themes of self-sabotage and childhood trauma bringing forth his own history of losing his father at 8 and his mother’s mental difficulties throughout his formative years. He is now in development for two feature films and runs a YouTube channel called the Director Toolbox which explores the art of directing the best scenes in film and TV.
